Here i will list the reasons why the ltte (liberation tigers of tamil eelam) has been defeated. These reason would be very obvious looking back but at the time it was justified as the cause to freedom. There are many instances of history where these kind of mistakes were made and all ultimately ended in the same outcome of defeat. Here for the sake of simplicity and familiarity i will only compare the Hitler in the world war two and Prabhakaran civil war to liberate the Tamils.

1. Taking weapon and violence to solve political issues.
2. Killing of the other Liberation and Civil right movements.
3. Ethinical cleansing of the Muslim peoples.
4. Extortion among Tamil diasporas.
5. Suicide bombing.
6. Child Soldiers.
7. Killing of Alfred Duraiappah, Jaffna MP.
8. Killing of Ranasinghe Premadasa, President of Sri Lanka.
9: Killing of Rajiv Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India.


1. Taking weapon to solve a political issues.

Political issues such as equal rights, freedom for speech and equal opportunity for educations are political issues, these issues, can not be gained through the use of violence. We could have gained these rights with the organized political talks and with diplomatic means. Violence only can breed violence.

Similarity:
Hitler assumed the reason for poor economical conditions of the German at that time is because of Jewish People.

2. Killing of the other Liberation and Civil right movements.

The LTTE killed and massacred many small, but very politically involved Liberation groups and it leaders because the did not want to join the LTTE. This issues is a mass important, when you kill someone who has the same goal in mind and but a different approach to get there, you are killing your own brother. If you are killing your own blood and flesh.
